BRAHAMATAL TREK

Pickup point- Rishikesh bus stand , pick up time-5:00 am

it is a 8-10hrs drive from Rishikesh bus stand to Lohajang ,transport will arranged by ours company on cabs or taxis .You reach Lohajang on 2500 m by many, many curves and variable scenery all around. From here you start your Trek next morning. Lohajang has some shops and little restaurants. From here you can see Nandaghunti 6310 m, the sign of the Goddess Nanda Devi. The colours of the massif by sunset can be the first gift to you. Evening you will have a meeting, your guide will give you some information for your tour. Hotel

Lohajang to Bhekal Tal – some higher will be your camp on 2900 m (8 km – ca 4-5 hours) You walk up through Khurali village, Oak and Rhododendron Forest to the shepherds houses of
Daldum. From here you can have a view to Nandaghunti 6310 m, Trishul 7120 m and by the other side down to the valley with a lot of small villages. You walk higher and reach the nice lake inside of high Oak Trees. From the near surroundings you can see the far “Shol Patti – 16 villages” After a rest you walk up on a zigzag way through forest to your camp. Tent

From your camp to Brahma Tal on 3400 m (5 km – 3 -4 hours)
You walk up on grassy land – a meadow – few steps more and more open the view to some of the great Peaks Mrigthuni, Trishul, Bethartoli and Nandaghunti. Brahma Tal is a small, very dark and very famous lake. According to the mythology Lord Brahma meditated here. Near the lake you will have your camp. Tent

Brahamatal to Khamila Top on 4000 m and back to Brahma Tal ( 5 km 5-6 h)
Early in the morning you walk steep up to Khamila Top. If the weather allow you will have a special highlight of that tour : majestic view to the snow and ice covered peaks of the High Himalaya, Trishul, Bethartoli Himal, Nandaghunti, Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, Kamet, Hathi Ghoda. You will have also a good view to the route of the famous Roopkund Tour – Ali Bugyal – Bedni Bugyal – Roopkund on 4600 m and Junargali on 4800 m. (high altitude trek)
You walk back to your camp near Brahma Tal.

1 ) walk back on the same way to Lohajang or
2 ) Brahma Tal to Wan village (8 km , 5-6 h), per car to Lohajang.
First on grassy land, then through rocky passages and forest you reach Wan.
If you are not too tired, then you can visit the very famous Latu Temple, which you will find near the village inside of very special high and big trees “Suhari”,
Car to Lohajang. After a last meeting with your guide your unforgettable tour will find his end.

Your guide will do the arrangement for your travelling back to Rishikesh or Kathgodam. To take a rest in Rishikesh, to visit the Arti at the banks of Ganges would be a nice end for your holidays.
